Memorial Day Parade & Celebration
5:00 p. M. - 6:00 p. M.

SCHEDULE (Times are subject to change)
8:00 am - Report to MHS for warm-up and rehearsal
9:00 am - Buses depart for the Community of Ashton
9:30 am - Ceremony at St. Peter’s cemetery
10:00 am - Snacks & depart for Park Elementary in Cross Plains
11:00 am - Parade begins
12:00 pm - Ceremony at American Legion Hall in Cross Plains
12:30 pm - The ceremony ends, and lunch is provided
~1:00 pm - Buses depart back to MHS
WHAT TO WEAR
-
Closed-toe shoes
-
Short athletic socks
-
Shorts (preferably non-athletic shorts: khaki, navy, etc. Nothing loud or shiny)

Middleton shirt of some kind
-
Please do not wear the marching band show shirt from any year
-
If you don’t own any Middleton High School gear, wear a white, black, or red shirt
-
Your shirt should cover your midriff.

WHAT TO BRING

Instrument
-
Music in a flip folder (extra flip folders available)

Lyre (music holder) for your instrument

Sunscreen if needed
-
Water bottle (can be left on the bus)

Food. A snack is provided which is usually a granola bar and a bottle of water. Lunch is provided, which is usually something like hot dogs, chips, and soda. If you have dietary requirements or preferences, consider packing your own food.
IF YOU PLAY A SCHOOL INSTRUMENT

You must leave your instrument at MHS after the performance.
IF YOU NEED TO BE PICKED UP IN CROSS PLAINS & NOT RIDING THE BUS TO MHS

Fill out the alternative transportation form on MyPaymentsPlus (same as for MHS sports)

If you play a school instrument, you must make sure it goes back to the school with the buses - find someone reliable to assist.

4-4:30 pm: Welcome, instrument check out, music hand out. Meet in band room, and move to Fireman's Park. Please bring some water in case it is a little hot.
4:30-5:15 pm: Music read-through! (New members no need to worry about sight reading, most of us will be new to the music as well!)
5:15 pm: Dismissal

Field Trip Rehearsal in the Stadium
Advisory - End of the day
You will be dismissed from advisory through the end of the day so please inform any 7th block teacher on Tuesday you will not be there on Thursday. You should eat during first lunch regardless of grade level and then immediately report to the field. Your attendance will be taken care of for you. Please make sure you wear something comfortable to march in.
Una nota sobre el clima
Debido a la cantidad de costosos instrumentos y equipos para estudiantes, programas y la escuela, no actuaremos bajo la lluvia en partidos o competencias de fútbol en casa (incluidos los campeonatos estatales).
Los anfitriones de la competencia generalmente trasladarán las actuaciones al interior para una competencia parada si el clima es malo. Si las actuaciones no se trasladan al interior, aún podemos cancelar nuestra actuación en consideración al equipo.
